NATIONAL LIBRARY
The Greek National Library withholds vast intellectual wealth, where the path of Greek ideas and critical thinking are reflected.
A grandiose building in the center of Athens, the National Library is the mecca that preserves and makes Greek culture, science and knowledge available to the world.
The National Library of Greece is where we find JK Simmon’s character, Sebastian, a German expatriate who has moved to Greece and is a historian for the Library. In the Library, Sebastian finds himself. It’s where his entire intellectual and spiritual world can be found, the place where he finds all the values and knowledge his character delegates. Sebastian guides us through this temple of knowledge during the film and that’s how his own “World Apart” is created.
